TOUR: ETNA HALF DAY

TOUR INCLUDES:

- Pick up and drop off from/to your accommodation and transport free of charge (you do not pay it).

- Nice walk in a fascinating volcanic path and visit to several flank craters with amazing view on the sorrounding volcanic landscape and on the magnificent Sicilian coast.

- Visit to the lava flow from 2002, last big eruption on Etna which destroyed the touristic village of Piano Provenzana.

- Walk on an ancient lava flow sorrounded by a volcanic lunar landscape and visit to a massive volcanic cave one of a kind (helmets and torches provided for free).

DESCRIPTION OF THE TOUR:

After the pick up from your accommodation or the meeting in a prearranged place, we move up on the volcano and we visit the eruption from 2002: this is the most destructive event in recent times which seriously threatened the sorrounding towns, which destroyed the touristic village of Piano Provenzana and which consinstently changed the norst side of the volcano.

We also have a nice walk among nice birch forests and desolated and black lavic fields in order to explore some massive flank craters. We walk up on them and we enjoy from the top one of the most beautiful view of Etna and a volcanic landscape unique in the world.

Moreover, we walk on a vast lava flow with an interesting history and characterized by desolate landscapes that will bring us, although only in an imaginarey way, to desertic lunar fields. An exclusive volcanic cave sensational in size and formation will be visited representing the crowning touch of an extraordinary tour.

Visited places will be presented with explanations, images, videos and historical documents.

WHAT TO BRING AND ADVICES:

- Trekking or at least tennis shoes, pullover, windbreaker, water (at least 1.5 liter per person), something to eat if needed, hat, sun cream, sunglasses. Pullover and light windbreaker can be hired for free.

- Tour is simple, but it requires inclination and will to walk. Tour is suitable for children, families, adults who have a good physical shape and desire to explore the volcanic landscape.

- Tour can be customized as the small group of only 4 participants in total.

- 2 people: 59 € each person.

- 3 people: 59 € each person.

- 4 people: 49 € each person.

Prices are meant for the number of people booked - for example: a booking for 2 people has a cost of 59 € per person, if in the tour there will be 1-2 more people the price is still 59 € per person. 

Prices include all transports for free, local and licensed guide, insurance, trekking poles, helmets and torches for the cave. If needed, it is possible to hire pullovers and windbreakers for free.

TOUR CAN BE CHANGED OR DELETED DUE TO BAD WEATHER CONDITIONS OR UNPREDICTABLE CIRCUMSTANCES.
