- Pick up and drop off from/to your accommodation and transport free of charge (you do not pay it).

- Visit to the lava flow from 2002, last big eruption on Etna which destroyed the touristic village of Piano Provenza.

- Nice walk in a volcanic path at 1700 meters of altitude and visit to several flank craters with amazing volcanic landscape and unforgettable views.

- Visit to a beautiful volcanic cave with an unique history (helmets and torches provided for free).

DESCRIPTION OF THE TOUR:

After the pick up from your accommodation or the meeting in a prearranged place, we move up on the volcano in order to visit the lava flow from the eruption from 2002: this is considered the 'perfect eruption' because of its big range of volcanic activities and because of its really high explosivity, making this event unique in the last 250 years. The eruption from 2002 is responsible of the destruction of the main street, the pine forest and the touristic village of Piano Provenzana.

We also explore some flank craters at the altitude of 1700 meters developed by a really important historical eruption. We walk through an amazing volcanic landscape and we enjoy a stunning view from the top of the craters: massive forests, extended lava flows, dozens craters and the amazing Sicilian coast will be part of our view in an easy and relaxing walk.

Finally we visit a small volcanic cave really easy to access with really interesting geological formations and an unique history. The tour will give a wide understanding of Etna's volcanic activity.

Visited places will be presented with explanations, images, videos and historical documents.
